9 update 2008

well.........it was just a matter of time before i started one of these...........the studio has been super busy in 2008.........so this rig will make it easy for me to fill folks in on the latest projects and exhibitions...............

studio 9 has relocated to portland............after a two month sabbatical in brazil and traveling across the u.s...............the new studio was set up in april just in time for our "haley collective" installation show at scion space in culver city, ca........entitled "travel & document".....it was a great opportunity to create some large scale sculpture as its one of the largest exhibiting spaces in los angeles...........here is a link to some images of the work from the show...........with my good friends.........racecar 13, larry mills, vanae rivera, & j.rivas

i've been fortunate to receive a few invitations to some big group shows this summer........the 1st was the "crimes on canvas" exhibit in las vegas curated by the good folks at m modern gallery....... here are my pieces i exhibited entitled "drift" and "metal"............

the latest group show i've created some work for is...... "i am 8-bit" curated by jon gibson & derek puleston.............its a huge show with work inspired by 80's video games.......the show opened thursday night august 14th in hollywood @ the world of wonder gallery......its on exhibit till sept 4th.............here are the pieces i created...."shroom"...."gold leader one"........and "1980".......................
